A resume typically means a document, usually spanning one to two pages in length, that gives a snapshot of your skills, experience and achievements. An academic CV usually spans 5 pages or more. They are generally used by academics, including doctors, lawyers, engineers, lecturers, etc. Sections would usually include publications, awards, research and teaching in addition to those found on a standard resume.
